About Us

We live in a world where everything is about speed and efficiency. Sometimes, we forget to appreciate the little things. Our goal is to get even the busiest people to do simple, but thoughtful gestures for their significant other, friend, or family.

Vivian and Nanxi both studied at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. However, the two met through the Miss America pageant. Vivian was Miss Covina and Nanxi was Miss Oakland. Their friendship flourished when they decided to become roommates during the two-week Miss California competition.

Hi! I’m Vivian, marketer by day and adventurer by night.  I’ve always been one of those “relationship people” and I think life is much more fun when you have someone to share experiences with, whether that is with a best friend, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, anyone! The idea for this blog actually came about rather spontaneously; I would always tell Nanxi about cute things I did for my significant other and vice versa, and we thought others could benefit from our dating and relationship ideas.  Thus, The Romantically Challenged was born! Hi! I’m Nanxi! Thanks for visiting our site! Vivian and I came up with this idea over the summer when we both wanted something fun to do in our spare time. We had a great time designing the site and writing the posts. I think many people think of romance as moonlight dinners at a fancy restaurant or an elaborate vacation. However, a lot of people can’t afford those. Vivian and I believe that the best romance are those that you can do any day, any time. We hope that The Romantically Challenged will help excite things in your relationship!

    Hello ladies,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and like one of my posts. I do like your site here as well, I shall visit more.

If you’re curious about where my brain patterns in writing started from you might consider checking out my life story on Amazon. “Tales of a Sinner” by Steve O’Brien. I believe you’ll get a kick out of the adventure.
